2009 Conference Info
Asilomar Conference Center on the Monterey Peninsula in California has been selected for the June 25-28, 2009 NQA Conference.
The theme for the conference is Waves of Qi, to honor the Monterey Peninsula and the ocean waves that crash, foam, ripple and that are unceasing and universal!
Presenter invitations will be going out within the next few weeks.
Registration informationand forms for the conference and for housing (through Asilomar) will be posted soon. Keep checking the website and email.
The 2008 Creating Healthy Change conference at the Pearlstone Center was among the most successful and interesting conferences held in the history of the National Qigong Association!

2008 Conference DVD
Now featured in the Web-store is the Conference DVD that includes the Friday Keynote by Thea Elijah: Sun and Wind: Easy Change (Yi) or Bait and Switch (Feng). This is a 2-DVD set for the price of one!
The Saturday Plenary Keynote by Kevin Chen: Psychosomatic Response to Qigong Practice: Differentiating Normal, Abnormal and Deviations, is included on the special DVD. Also included is the full evening of demonstrations that feature participants with interesting qigong and tai chi forms and dances and music. TThe price is $25.00 plus shipping and handling.
The 2008 conference was one of the best attended in the NQA history. A live QiTree was established for those wishing to make financial contributions to the NQA; a plaque will be established with designated levels of donors which will travel around the country. A special Award of Appreciation and Gratitude was given to Berkley Freeman, corporate attorney, who has been so much more than 'just an attorney.' He has led us , guided us, worked through varieties of questions since the inception of the NQA--often on a voluntary basis. He assisted in crafting the original Bylaws and completely advised in the 2008 rewriting and updating.
Joanne Coyle, who stepped down as long term Events Chair, was acknowledged with a plaque for her Enthusiasm and Devotion for over six years of creating and leading the annual conference.
